The coastal Parish of Starcross lies between Exeter and Dawlish and is surrounded by arable land on three sides and the beautiful Exe Estuary on the fourth. The arable land is primarily owned by the Earl of Devon. The population of the village is currently approximately 1800.
Today, Starcross is a popular commuter village for Exeter comprising a church, primary school, general store, Post Office Local, surgery, pharmacy, fish and chip shop and two public houses. There are many opportunities for sport and leisure activities, including bowls, football, fishing, sailing and walking as well as many clubs & societies catering for a wide range of interests.
Starcross enjoys good access to both coast and moors, and other Devon attractions. Both self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation is available, there are good public transport links to Exeter, Newton Abbot and Torbay via both bus and train, and a summer foot passenger ferry to Exmouth.
Please enjoy our website; links where possible have been provided to local businesses and organisations.
